Lupine Step-In Harness is a popular style wrap around harness with two adjustment points. The Step-In harness is non restrictive and reduces pressure on the throat area. Adjustable sternum piece in middle. When unbuckled, the dogs front feet are placed in the openings, then the two halves of the harness are brought up and buckled on the dogs back. The lead gets attached to the double D-rings. Made of a nylon webbing similar to mountain climbing harnesses, strong yet lightweight.
Machine-washing is fine. Some people use a mesh bag (to save
wear-and-tear on the inside of the tub), others just put them in with jeans and
similar sturdy clothes. The key points are warm, not hot water; mild soap, no
bleach; and air dry only - don't put them in the dryer or the nylon may get all
shriveled! For extreme situations, pre-soaking in an enzymatic cleaner like
Nature's Miracle or Simple Solution may be helpful.
Lifetime Guarantee (even if chewed)
All harnesses should be removed when the outing is over as they are too
accessible for chewing for dogs and may present an additional risk of
entanglement or injury. We do not recommend any Lupine products be used
for tie-out.
Step-In Harness: When unbuckled, two openings are created
for the paws, with an adjustable sternum strap between. Bring the ends up and
over the dog’s back and fasten the buckle. Adjust the front and back straps for
a secure fit, then adjust the sternum strap so it fits snugly.
